- Added: "Check for Update" command added to Help menu with a option for Auto checking in the Preferences dialog.
- Changed: Pro Edition can now convert up to 1000 or more files per Batch conversion.
- Changed: Default file extension for MathML files changed from .mml to .xml.
- Fixed: 'Convert' button in the Batch converter dialog now gets enabled only when one or more file is selected.

- Added: Pasting Speech Text supported when the expression does not contain any unexpected characters. Reading .mathtxt file is more fault-tolerant than pasting Speech Text.
- Fixed: Multi-lined templates were not converted to Speech Text.
- Fixed: Crashed when a column or row was added to the left-most or top-most in a Matrix.
- Fixed: Minimum length of Horizontal fence templates fixed.

- Added: Read Selection using TTS command added to Edit menu to hear the math reading using a free Text-To-Speech voice
- Added: User-defined TTS service link can be specified in the Import/Export Options -> Speech dialog.

- Added: Speech Text converter added for Math speech. "Save As" and "Copy As" supports Speech Text. Math Speech Text can be used by a Text-To-Speech utility or useful for learning math reading notation and symbol names. Speech Text file(.mathtxt) can also be opened into equation. Import/Export options available for Speech Text conversion.
- Added: Add Matrix command added to Matrix Reloaded submenu to allow inserting a matrix from menu bar as well as keyboard shortcut(ctrl-T followed by 'M', or control-shift-M) and mouse click on a Matrix palette button.
- Changed: Format -> Matrix sub menu items reloaded.
- Fixed: Some Matrix sub menu items were not enabled when the cursor was located not in the beginning of a box.

- About 20MB of hard disk space for complete installation

- If installing on Windows XP,
- Download the latest Installer from download page
- Double click on the installer icon to proceed the installation
- Launch MathMagic application from Windows menu or from the following location:
\Program Files\MathMagic Personal Edition\MathMagic Personal 5.x.exe
|
- If installing on Windows Vista or newer,
- Download the latest Installer from download page
- Right-click on the installer application, and select 'Properties".
- Double click on the installer icon to proceed the installation.
- After installation, select MathMagic application from the following location:
\Program Files\MathMagic Personal Edition\MathMagic Personal 5.x.exe
- Right-click on it, select 'Properties".
- Select "Windows XP" compatibility mode, and turn on "Run as an Administrator" privilege.
(This is to make MathMagic read/write Registry correctly. Otherwise, Registry error message might be displayed.)
- Then, launch MathMagic Personal application.

| Uninstall MathMagic Personal utility will help you remove most of the installed files. But in some cases some installed files may not be removed if used by other application or system. |
